A paper by Professor Hany Farid and Ph.D. student Eric Kee in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) touches on photo retouching, quantifying the degree of changes made to photo images.

Melissa Queen '13 has won this year's Town Prize in Computer Science.  The Town Prize is awarded annually to the top junior in each science department at Dartmouth.  Along with winning the Town Prize in Computer Science, Melissa also won the Town Prize in Physics and Astronomy, her other major.

The WalkSafe app, which helps keep pedestrians safe and was developed by Master's alumna Tianyu Wang and Professors Andrew Campbell and Lorenzo Torresani, is featured in Technology Review.  National Public Radio also ran a piece on it.
