Abstract:

Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories has constructed a
mobile-agent system, based on Dartmouth's Agent-TCL, that provides
remote search and database update capabilities to military
intelligence officers.  Key issues in this domain include transaction
robustness in the face of dynamic WAN connectivity, as well as
efficient communication across low bandwidth network links.  The
laboratory has participated in multiple military exercises, and
continues to revise the software based on feedback from Army military
intelligence units.
