Anurag Acharya is a Research Associate in the Department of Computer
Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. He received his
PhD in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University in 1994.  His
current research interests are environment-aware mobile programs,
customization of operating system policies using information provided
by the user or the compiler and scheduling and resource management for
I/O-intensive tasks on workstation clusters.
