Dejan S. Milojicic received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and his PhD from University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. He spent 8 years in the scientific institute "Mihajlo Pupin", Belgrade, researching and developing operating systems. Since the beginning of 1994 he is a member of the OSF Research Institute, where he developed concurrent remote task creation for the Mach microkernel. He also worked on task migration and load distribution on the same platform. Currently he leads a project on mobile agents based on Java. He is a member of the ACM, IEEE and USENIX. His research interests focus on mobility (migration and agents), distributed systems, operating systems, and load balancing.
