Biography for Bernard Pagurek

Bernard Pagurek received his M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 1962 and 1965 respectively. After a sojurn as a postdoctorate fellow at Imperial College, London, he came to Carleton University, Ottawa, where he taught in the Electrical Engineering program and conducted research in automatic control theory, optimization, and queueing theory. His current research interests include artificial intelligence and its application to diagnosis and network fault management. For network management he is involved in the development of a cooperating mobile agent architecture. He is presently a professor at Carleton University where his research is funded by NSERC of Canada and The Telecommunications Research Institute of Ontario.
