Markus Schwehm has studied Mathematics at the Technical Universities of Karlsruhe and Muenchen. He did postgraduated research on Massively Parallel Genetic Algorithms and received his doctoral degree in Computer Science from the University of Erlangen-Nuernberg in 1996. Since 1997 he is project leader of the Mobile Agent project MOLE at the University of Stuttgart. He is currently visiting researcher at Tandem Labs of Tandem Computers Inc. in Cupertino, CA. His current research interests are active databases and event management for mobile agent systems and the application of mobile agents for the implementation of push technologies.
