We compare the function space method of Seyb et al. [2024] with our sparse convolution approach at equal time (20 min) on this scene of non-stationary GPISes with specular micro-surfaces. Variants of our method include 3D noise, 1D unidirectional sampling, and 1D MIS, added progressively to show their impact. We also display a single GPIS realization to illustrate the underlying structure behind the aggregate appearance.
