Short Bio
I am a last-year CS PhD student at Dartmouth College, and a student member of HealthX Lab (previously at XDiscovery Lab, the HCI research group of Dartmouth led by Prof. Xing-Dong Yang). Before coming to Dartmouth, I obtained my bachelor degree in computer science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in 2018.
My research interests in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) primarily focus on novel and efficient text input on mobile and emerging platforms (i.e., AR/VR headsets/glasses/wearables). I created intelligent and user-centered text input methods across different input modalities (e.g. tap typing, gesture typing, handwriting, etc.) by applying both data-driven computational design on typing interface and cutting-edge language model (LM) techniques on underlying decoding algorithm.
Besides publishing in top-tier HCI venues, I also have extensive research experience in industry, as I completed four research internships in prestigious industry labs during my PhD, including Microsoft Research, Meta Reality Labs, and Google.
